Homemade Lite Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients: 

½ c. sugar

3 egg yolks

3 oz. chopped bittersweet chocolate

2 tbsp. butter

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Whipped cream

Chocolate shavings

 ¼ c. unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tbsp. cornstarch

½ tsp. kosher salt

2 ½ c. milk

Make your very own chocolate pudding by following these easy steps:

In a large bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Slowly add milk, then whisk again.

Place mixture in a saucepan, then boil for about 6 minutes.

Beat the 3 egg yolks into a heat proof bowl. Gently pour ½ of the cocoa mixture then whisk to combine. Slowly return the egg mixture into the sauce pan while still whisking.

Return to medium heat then wait for it to turn into a thick, pudding-like form

Remove from heat then put chocolate, vanilla, and butter until it becomes smooth. If it turns lumpy, just strain it using a strainer.

Transfer into a large bowl then cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Top it with cream and shavings when you’re ready to serve.

Hershey’s Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients:

2/3 sugar

¼ tsp. salt

2 ¼ milk

2 tbsp. margarine

1 tsp. vanilla extract

¼ Hershey’s Cocoa

3 tbsp. cornstarch

Whipped cream

If you want some low-calorie Hershey’s pudding, follow these steps:

Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt properly. Add the milk afterwards

While stirring constantly, wait for it to boil. Keep stirring for about a minute

Remove from heat, then add margarine and vanilla

Cover the pudding with plastic wrap

Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs.

Garnish using the whipped cream. It’s good up to 4 servings

When Using Microwave:

Mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt properly. Add the milk afterwards

Set the microwave to high for at least 10 minutes until mixture boils

Stir every two minutes

Add margarine and vanilla, then serve into dishes like mentioned above.
